I think providing support to community organizations (localized nonprofits) or creating events for the local community really makes any business feel more connected to the community they exist within.

A lot of my generation I would say is more online users, apps, texting type so involving more of that maybe.

Social media info, text/SMS updates, short form content & funny/clever. Being involved in community aspects - financially supportive & fundraising help for activities. Incentives to be more involved but things that don't take a lot of time.

This generation thrives on doomscrolling and dopamine. To be more "relavent," a local electric utility would have to ride the wave and create content that evokes a reaction out of people. That said, the modern generation, myself included, generally love to see sustainability projects.

I believe participation in local events is the best way to drive relevancy. The cooperative could also increase their visibility by driving engagement to these events. The younger generation still enjoys free events if they believe it will be a valuable use of time.
