Can't be overstated. The internet connection at our location is the lifeline to the world. Luckily its been very reliable to date.
It is very impactful. I use the internet for work, research, learning, entertainment, staying up to date on news and to communicate. It becomes apparant when we have an outage how much I use it for those things.

its very reliable, and not having to worry about it crashing, while getting the things we have to get done, without worring if its going to take forever to download or crash is wonderful.

Since getting fiber optic service, we have been able to switch our streaming services from Direct TV to more affordable options. Staying in contact with family and friends is crucial, especially in our rural area where cellular service is often not avaiable or reliable.

Reliable internet is vital to my families ability to stay up to date on the news, stream shows (we have no cable providers in my area) and research innumerable DIY questions for repairs around the house. It is a nice to have in more urban settings, but in the recesses of the rural communities - it is a lifeline
I am retired now, so work is not an issue. But it is extremely important to me to be able to engage with friends and family via social media, as well as tracking medical information on my providers' portals. Getting out is sometimes a challenge, so online shopping is a huge benefit. I do all of my banking and other financial management online, as well, so having fast, reliable internet is extremely important. It is a comfort to know that my connection is always there and will allow me to do the things I need or want to do.
We utilize this service for all bill paying and shopping needs as well as the usual stuff. Tele doc and classes. We live in a rather out of the way area and really appreciate the convenience of broadband services
Need fiber optic internet becausenitnos faster. From banking to zoom mertings to streaming tv, it has ti be reliable.
From our sons education, my work at home, our farm operation as an employer, we must be connected for daily work and MV link has brought that reliability to rural areas quite well.

We love the speed and reliability of the the fiber network. My husband is a full time college student through a remote learning institute. He has 2-3 hour classes 3-4 times per week via videostreaming. Then he works on assignments, often with a partner or group so they schedule videoconferences to complete their assignments. He also uses the internet for research and communication for his part time job.
We have a school age students who relies on the internet for assignment completion. They also like to game and stream movies.
For myself, I use the fiber network for completing tasks related to my employment, researching topics of interest and recreation.
We really appreciate the availability since we are in a rural setting. It sure beats dial-up service!
The internet is a household staple. I need to be connected for work at all times. Access to work emails and having a responsive connection when I need to log into our system is crucial--And not have my activity online disrupt any other use of the service. Everyone can continue to stream movies or the games without issues!
I use it for everything....contracting, bill paying, research, TV streaming. I love the speed and reliability
It is very important to us. We do not have any cable tv in our home so we rely soley on streaming services. Also, when we have children stay over they love to play video games so its important everyone can do what they want in regards to watching tv/phones/ipads/video gaming.

It's vital. Living in a rural area with limited cell service and limited local TV and newspaper it's very easy to become isolated.
Getting fiber optic internet was a huge blessing! We really appreicate Otsego Electric pickign up the ball and runnng with this project when others stepped away and chose not to bring us service. Having it allows me to communicae with friends and family, duirn Covid I taught all my classes online and it's also great for entertainment. We don't need TV beucse between PBS passport online and you tube it's great!

Having a reliable internet service is extremely important in my daily life, as it is how I am able to work remotely.
This service is so important. I had very unreliable service before they ran fiber to our area. It was very frustrating, but now, I have great Internet service that stays on and works great!
I don’t work remotely but I do occasionally use it for my job. I am very happy it is reliable and I’ve rarely had an issue.
